Inductive flow meter FLOW 45, the meter uses a lithium battery for power so it does require an external power supply as it was developed especially for placing in areas without available supply voltage. Its application is ideal e.g. in water supply lines or at remote irrigation systems, etc., in locations without available mains power supply. The battery-operated flow meter excels in high accuracy within the entire flow rate range. The battery-operated FLOW 45 meter is delivered in DN15 up to DN200 sizes. The display unit with a single line customized alphanumeric LCD display is rotatable by 350°, which provides the customer a comfortable meter reading. It is made in compact or separated versions. Before every measurement, all functions and parts needed for correct measurement are diagnosed. Based on the results, the meter is able to identify an empty pipe and cancel the entire measurement or conversely, to evaluate the flow direction and include the result in corresponding summary registers. Various process connections are available, namely flanged, sandwich (inter-flanged), threaded, and also screwed connections for diary (DIN 11851) or clamp type. The flow meter allows connecting to superior control or monitoring systems using impulse output, RS485 communication (M-BUS/Mod-Bus protocols) ,or by GSM data transfer. Data can be stored in micro SD cards also in data logger mode. The flexibility of use is ensured by several types of lining, namely made of hard and soft rubber, rubber with a WRAS certificate for drinking water, PTFE, PFA ,or E-CTFE. The service life of the internal lithium battery may reach 5 years with 8-sec. measurement period. For the calculation of battery service life, it is important to consider the measurement period, outputs, and communication profile. The more power-demanding outputs are, the shorter battery service life is. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully select an optimum measurement period, output, and communication profile.
